1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 large egg, beaten
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, beaten egg, chopped onion, bread crumbs, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Carefully place the tuna patties in the hot skillet.
Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
Remove patties from skillet and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot.
Notes
Serve with your favorite sauce, such as tartar sauce or ketchup.
These patties can also be served on buns as tuna burgers.
For a healthier option, you can bake these patties at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
