About Us

So Glad You’re Here!

Welcome to Devour Dish, your new home for deliciously simple recipes for everyday life.

Have you ever felt like making a truly great meal has to be complicated, time-consuming, or expensive? I’m Avery Collins, and I started this blog because I believe the exact opposite. I’m here to show you that the most memorable meals are often the simplest, made with love, right in your own kitchen.

Our Food Philosophy

At Devour Dish, we believe that food is about more than just sustenance—it’s about connection, comfort, and joy. It’s the Tuesday night dinner that brings your family to the table, the simple side dish that everyone loves at the neighborhood potluck, and the easy-bake cookies that fill your home with a wonderful aroma.

Our recipes are developed with the modern American kitchen in mind. They are:

  • Simple & Straightforward: No intimidating techniques or hard-to-find ingredients. Just clear, easy-to-follow steps.
  • Tested & Trusted: Every recipe is tested (and tasted!) multiple times to ensure it’s reliable and delicious every time.
  • Made for Real Life: We focus on practical meals for busy weeknights, lazy weekends, and everything in between.

My Story

I grew up in a lively Midwestern home where the kitchen was always the heart of our house. My passion for food wasn’t born from fancy restaurants, but from standing on a stool helping my parents make classic, comforting dishes. It was there I learned that the best ingredient of all is the care you put into it.

This early love for food led me to study nutrition science in college, where I learned the “why” behind healthy, balanced meals. But I also saw friends who were surviving on takeout, convinced that cooking was too hard. I started making them simple, delicious dinners, and a lightbulb went off: my true calling was to help people feel confident and happy in the kitchen.

And so, Devour Dish was born.

This blog is a collection of my favorite recipes—the ones inspired by my upbringing, perfected through my professional experience, and designed for you.

Happy Cooking,
