Make this easy, no-bake pecan pie dip for a creamy, sweet holiday appetizer that tastes just like classic pecan pie without the crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Fold in the heavy cream or whipped topping until fully combined. Spread this mixture evenly into a shallow serving dish.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, melted butter, corn syrup, and salt.
  4. Cook the pecan mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly and bubbles, about 3 to 5 minutes. Do not let it burn.
  5. Pour the warm pecan caramel topping evenly over the cream cheese base.
  6. Chill the dip for at least 1 hour before serving to allow it to set.
  7. Serve cold with graham crackers, apple wedges, pretzels, or cookies.

Notes

  • For a quicker set time, chill the dip for 30 minutes in the freezer before moving it to the refrigerator.
  • You can toast the pecans lightly before adding them to the topping mixture for deeper flavor.
  • This dip tastes best when served chilled.
