Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced provolone cheese, finely chopped
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced hard salami, finely chopped
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced deli ham, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped pepperoncini peppers (optional)
  • For serving: crackers, crostini, or sturdy bread

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until completely smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the chopped provolone cheese, salami, ham, red onion, green bell pepper, black olives, and pepperoncini peppers (if using) to the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Fold all ingredients together gently until everything is evenly distributed throughout the dip. Do not overmix.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap.
  5. Refrigerate the dip for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours, to allow the flavors to blend. This is a crucial step for the best taste.
  6. Before serving, let the dip sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Serve cold with your favorite crackers, crostini, or slices of crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

  • For a heartier texture, you can use a mix of deli meats like capicola or mortadella.
  • If you prefer a tangier flavor, add 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard to the base mixture.
  • This dip tastes even better the next day, making it a great make-ahead dip for parties.
