Ingredients
Scale
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 lemon, sliced (for garnish)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard until well combined. This creates your rich, sweet-and-savory glaze.
Brush or spoon the honey garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
Sprinkle the salmon lightly with salt and pepper.
Arrange thin lemon slices on top of the salmon or around the fillets on the pan.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove from the oven. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving immediately.
Notes
For extra moisture, you can bake the salmon in foil packets instead of on a sheet pan.
If you like a little heat, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the butter mixture.
This dish pairs well with roasted asparagus or simple white rice for a complete meal.
