Ingredients
Scale
1 cup strong brewed coffee, chilled
1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
2 tablespoons heavy cream
2 tablespoons caramel syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla syrup
1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
Ice cubes
Whipped cream, for topping
Caramel sauce, for topping
Granulated sugar, for brûlée topping (optional)
Instructions
Brew your coffee and let it cool completely.
In a glass, combine the chilled coffee, milk, heavy cream, caramel syrup, vanilla syrup, and almond extract (if using).
Stir well to combine all ingredients.
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
Pour the coffee mixture over the ice.
Top with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.
For an authentic crème brûlée touch, sprinkle a thin layer of granulated sugar over the whipped cream and carefully caramelize it with a kitchen torch.
Notes
For a stronger caramel flavor, use a good quality caramel syrup.
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less syrup to your preference.
If you don’t have a kitchen torch, you can skip the caramelized sugar topping.
Chicory coffee can be used for a New Orleans-style twist.
