Enjoy a rich and creamy iced coffee at home, inspired by the classic crème brûlée dessert. This recipe features a sweet caramel flavor and a smooth finish, perfect for a special treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, chilled
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons caramel syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Caramel sauce, for topping
  • Granulated sugar, for brûlée topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew your coffee and let it cool completely.
  2. In a glass, combine the chilled coffee, milk, heavy cream, caramel syrup, vanilla syrup, and almond extract (if using).
  3. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the coffee mixture over the ice.
  6. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.
  7. For an authentic crème brûlée touch, sprinkle a thin layer of granulated sugar over the whipped cream and carefully caramelize it with a kitchen torch.

Notes

  • For a stronger caramel flavor, use a good quality caramel syrup.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less syrup to your preference.
  • If you don’t have a kitchen torch, you can skip the caramelized sugar topping.
  • Chicory coffee can be used for a New Orleans-style twist.
