- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the pork chops.
- Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra tender pork chops, do not overcook them. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Serve with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, steamed spinach, or a side salad.
