Ingredients
Scale
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (15 ounce) can chili (no beans recommended, like Hormel brand)
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a small oven-safe dish.
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and the can of chili. Mix them together until they are mostly combined.
Spread the chili cheese mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the mixture.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.
Serve this crowd pleaser appetizer immediately with tortilla chips.
Notes
For a slow cooker chili dip, combine all ingredients in a small slow cooker and cook on LOW for 1 to 2 hours, stirring halfway through, until hot.
If you use chili with beans, the texture will be slightly different, but it will still taste great.
This recipe is a fantastic base; you can add a dash of hot sauce or a sprinkle of cumin for extra flavor if you want more than 3 ingredients.
