Make the famous sweet and creamy Grape Salad from Chicken Salad Chick at home with this easy copycat recipe. It features juicy grapes coated in a rich dressing, topped with crunchy pecans and brown sugar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds seedless grapes (a mix of red and green recommended)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Separate the grapes into bite-sized clusters or leave them whole, depending on preference. Place the grapes in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. Beat until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the creamy dressing over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all the grapes are evenly coated. Be careful not to crush the grapes.
  5. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  6. Cover the bowl and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Just before serving, sprinkle the 1/4 cup of light brown sugar evenly over the top of the salad.
  8. Serve cold as a sweet side dish or dessert salad.

Notes

  • For the best texture, make sure your cream cheese is fully softened before mixing the dressing.
  • This is an easy potluck side dish that tastes best when made ahead of time.
  • If you prefer a lighter version, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
  • This recipe captures the sweet and creamy flavor profile of the original.
