A quick and easy Cajun honey butter salmon recipe with a spicy-sweet glaze, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the salmon fillets, skin-side down (if applicable), for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the salmon fillets.
  6. In a small bowl, melt the butter and whisk in the honey, garlic powder, and paprika.
  7. Pour the honey butter glaze over the salmon fillets in the skillet.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  9. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with your favorite sides like rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
  • For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the glaze.
