You need a crowd-pleasing snack for your next gathering. These easy Buffalo Chicken Sliders use simple ingredients baked on one sheet pan for minimal cleanup. They deliver that perfect mix of spicy, cheesy, and tangy flavor everyone loves.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12 count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (use your favorite brand)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until the chicken is fully coated.
  3. Slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the rolls connected in one piece. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Distribute the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the bottom layer of rolls.
  5. Sprinkle the Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese mixture over the chicken layer.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese and chicken.
  7. In a small bowl, mix any remaining melted butter with a pinch of garlic powder and brush this mixture evenly over the top of the rolls.
  8. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven. If you are using ranch dressing, drizzle it lightly over the tops of the hot sliders.
  11. Slice the sliders apart and serve immediately as your favorite Game Day Appetizer.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, mix 1 tablespoon of melted butter with 1 teaspoon of poppy seeds and brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls before baking for a savory crust.
  • If you prefer a creamier texture, mix 1/4 cup of cream cheese into the chicken mixture before assembling the sliders.
  • Serve these Spicy Chicken Sliders with celery sticks or blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
