Ingredients
Scale
1 package (18.3 ounces) brownie mix (do not bake)
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips, plus extra for topping
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and softened butter. Beat them together with an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Add the milk and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until just combined.
Gradually add the powdered sugar to the mixture, beating on low speed until fully incorporated and smooth. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Add the dry brownie mix and the 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips. Mix on low speed until the dry ingredients are just incorporated into the batter. Do not overmix.
Transfer the brownie batter dip to a serving bowl. Sprinkle the top with extra mini chocolate chips.
Serve immediately with your favorite dippers, or cover and chill for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to set.
Notes
For dipping, use graham crackers, pretzels, vanilla wafers, strawberries, or apple slices.
If you want a richer flavor, substitute the milk with heavy cream.
This dip is safe to eat because it uses heat-treated flour (found in most commercial brownie mixes) and no raw eggs.
