Make this easy, layered bruschetta dip featuring a creamy cheese base topped with fresh tomato, basil, and balsamic glaze. It is a perfect, quick appetizer for parties or game days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces Boursin cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Crostini or crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened Boursin cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Beat with a hand mixer or stir well until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  2. Spread the creamy cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of a serving dish.
  3. In a separate small bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic glaze, salt, and pepper. Stir gently to coat the tomatoes.
  4. Spoon the tomato mixture evenly over the top of the cheese layer in the serving dish.
  5. Cover the dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. This dip can be made ahead.
  6. Serve cold with toasted baguette slices (crostini) or your favorite crackers.

Notes

  • For a make-ahead option, prepare the cheese base and the tomato topping separately. Store them covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Assemble just before serving.
  • If you do not have Boursin, you can substitute with 4 ounces of whipped feta mixed with 4 ounces of cream cheese for a similar tangy base.
  • Use high-quality, ripe tomatoes for the best fresh flavor in the topping.
